Stump Sound Oysters anything like Rocky Mountain Oysters? If so, I think I'll pass. On second thought, I KNOW I'll pass. The only Oysters I like are Oyster Crackers. Of course, if you lube the old pie-hole up enough, just about anything is liable to slide down.

NAW- STUMP SOUND OYSTERS COME FROM THE NORTH SIDE OF THE TOPSAIL ISLAND BRIDGE AND ARE NOTED FOR THEIR SIZE AND SALTINESS, ESPECIALLY IF IT HASN'T RAINED FOR A WEEK OR SO AND ARE A NATURAL WITH BEER!! CAN ONLY BE HARVESTED FROM OCT TIL FEB, THE BEST OYSTERMEN ACTUALLY PULL THE OYSTERS IN OVERPOPULATED AREAS, WHERE FERTILIZER RUNOFF AND OTHER CHEMICALS MAKE THEM INEDIBLE AND PUT THEM IN "GARDENS", WHERE THEY CLEAN THEMSELVES NATURALLY! USUALLY THEY WAIT FOR OVER A YEAR BEFORE HARVEST!
SITTIN' 'ROUND WITH A BUNCH OF BUDS,BUDS AND BREWS-SWAPPIN' LIES ON A CRISP FALL EVENING-LIFE AIN'T TOO BAD AT ALL!

Oysters, yumm
My first real job was for Keypoint Oyster Co., which was right next door to where they keep the Trident submarines. My initiation was to eat fresh from the shell, 10 raw oysters, no problem, and I have loved them from that day on.
As for the Rocky Mountain Oysters, I think I'll have to side with Dave and pass.
So how far is Stump Sound from you and are they very large oysters?? As for us here on the west side, we got giant ones, lol.

THEY'RE PRETTY BIG- WE CALL 'EM DUCKS FEET BECAUSE OF THE SIZE AND SHAPE OF THE SHELL!!

Ever had a geoduck (gooey duck)? Don't know how they get that pronounciation out of that spelling, but it's a giant clam. Just the neck on 'em can get bigger than my arm!

They may grow all over, but in Washington state, like I said before we got big-guns
that would put any well hung horse to shame. lol

That would definitely be a geoduck, Jesse.

Found a FRIGGIN 'AWESOME Seasoning! It's Slapyamama, a combo of salt, garlic red and black pepper. My brother was based out of Louisiana and brought some back(along w/some pickled pigs lips!) this stuff is great on about anything you can put it on-(popcorn is one of my favorites),eggs steak chicken, you name it! I use it in the place of salt when I cook to give it some Zing! It's a family operation and when I ordered they sent me a brochure, with their products and a HAND WRITTEN THANK-YOU NOTE! I was in shock-now that's old fashioned customer service! Check them out at www.Slapyamamma.com. it's good stuff.

STILL COOKIN'

OK today we work w/some Leftovers I had

1/2 of a Red Onion
1 med Bell Pepper
1 can sliced Water Chestnuts
1 Broccoli Crown
PACO, slice Onion and Bell Pepper in thin strips, trim stalk from Broccoli
Heat BAFP to Med High w 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil ( I also throw in some Ground Red Pepper)
I had some leftover Saffron Rice, PACO, nuke it
the Oil will be hot toss the veggies in add some Terriaki Sauce, stir frequently
Also had some leftover Salmon, throw it in the microwave and nuke that
PACO, throw the veggies over the rice, pull the Salmon(Chicken or Beef does just as good)out of the nuker throw it on top,
