OMG, Joe Sanchez I haven't heard that name in 17 years!! The Bradley incident happend when James Girsavich pulled out from a dirt road onto a paved one and didn't see the German Nat'l car coming and took out the whole back in. But, I remember the US…
I think I remember the times you're talking about. The most vivid one I can remember was the last tour at Camp Gates -- it was like Feb.-Mar. of '89. They had one of those USO shows on a Sunday afternoon, and while the LTs were showing these little…
Ok, because I didn't recall this happening in C trp.
I do recall one time one of our tracks hit a German Nat'l's car and took out the whole back end of it and another time in 89 we were road marching to Hof on Autobahn 9 and an M1 skirt swung out an…
This was either A Trp or B Trp, in the Fall of 1990. We had an alert blown, and this happened when everybody was out. I was driving the SXO around at the time, which is how I ended up here to take these pics. Everybody was okay, but I think the driv…
There was a guy in our platoon who was given the flex nozzle to the grease gun, and directed to crawl under the track and check the air pressure in the roadwheels. Dude was down there trying, too.
Additionally, I absolutely placed my beer on the wi…
It was a really cool time to be there. I was in C Trp when 2d ACR had its last border tour at Camp Gates -- we had a change of command ceremony and turned it over to some unit from 1st AD. I preferred Camp Gates to Hof.
They brought in a DoD show, with a bunch of cute girls to sing to us one night there at Camp Hof, that year. It was a neat Border Tour -- a lot better than the time Bruce Jenner came to visit with some TV show (can't remember whether that was before…
Ha ha -- I was stuck down in the Ops Cell with a broken leg, and I remember you guys coming back with that oversized bottle of wine and flowers. Exciting time.
Tell us a little about your cav days and some of your buddies!
3d Platoon C Trp; Border tours at Camps Gates and Hof; VII Corps Boeselager Team 1989; Spent last year-plus as driver for SXO, MAJ Trahan; ETS after Desert Storm.
Tell us a little about you now.
I work for an insurance company.
name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find you!
Shay Dahle, Dave Kahle, Ed Bowens, Dave Petruskevich, Dave O'Brien, Jerry Roessler, Jim Knaeble, Ken Rung, Chris Radden, Juan Ridgeway.
For some reason, I don't remember Barnes. Maybe he left before I got there. I was in touch with Gergen shortly after I left active duty, but have since lost contact. I had been in touch with LT Groton too for a while--he has his own bicycle shop. He ended up marrying the doctor from the clinic--CPT Bettencourt. Not sure if they are still together. Anyway--haven't talked to him in quite a while. Looked thru your pics--I recognized Gergen, SGT Leonard, and Wilson. Under your buddies you would like to find, I remember Jim Knaeble as well.

Eric,
We crossed the same path, but I can't place your face. I arrived in C Trp late November of 90. I was a Specialist at the time. The Squadron had already been alerted for Desert Shield and the vehicles had already been shipped. I was assigned to C Trp 3rd Platoon as a Scout. CPT Edwards was CO with 1SG Cablay , LT Groton as Plt Ldr, and SFC Donaldson as Plt Sgt. I was assigned to the LT's track. Driver was PFC Tim Gergen and Gunner was SPC Darryl Nesmith.
After our return to Bindlach, I worked in Sqd HQ in the S-1 shop as the Awards Clerk with CPL Berry, SPC Hawk, SPC Petroskevich, and CPL Graves. The S-1 was CPT Cabacungan and the assistant was 1LT Hayhurst.
Yeah, I think I did my last 6 months or so as his driver (best duty I had!). I haven't heard anything of him, but I fell out of touch with everyone until Fitchett rounded us all up last winter.
Tommy T how you doing, tried finding you before after we lost contact, was good to see your name when Elloitt Fitchett contacted me on facebook. drop me a comment when you gat a chance Jerry
Glad to hear it! Cooper, Pasibe,Mullins and several others are on facebook. we correspond regularly if you're interested.
Look up my facebook page (Elliott Fitchett) send a friends request and then you can go through it and get ahold of the folks you haven't seen in awhile.
Cooper is no A LEO out in Tx, Mullins is a computer programmer back in Mo.
Pasibe still thinks he's agent 007 and when he's not teaching at the Citidel, in SC, he and his wife are taking some very stunning photos and gallivanting with their little girl!
Rosario is now a firefighter in NY, Bostic (from s4) lives in Tampa, Fla and he and Aikens came up to my house here in Ky for the 4th of July. (Aikens works at a college in Indiana now).
Evans (from S3) lives in Montana and he and his wife have a profound love of swords..
LT. Chevuzzi now works for the gub'ment and lives in Polk Co. Florida with his family. he's doing well.
I've got the poop on lots more folks and we're still looking for some but that's the gist of it.
Look me up!
