In late '81 or early '82 there was at least one female in D Btry. I know this for a fact because my best friend, Albert Sterling. ended up marrying her. Her first name was Sherri and she was from Ohio.
The snake ain't biteing me Dave. Could be the beer goggles I have on my face for protection.
I'll try one last time tomorrow. Time for some FOOTBALL!!!!
I 'm getting tired of reading but I'll bet the answer is in this book;
just google "The origin, progress, and conclusions of the Florida war:"
Heck, I got tired after reading the complete title;
The origin, progress, and conclusion of the Florid...
Here is The only information I could find.
In August of 1838 Captain Beall lead two troops of Dragoons into "The land of the trembling earth".
The Okefenokee swamp South of Waycross, Georgia
I can't find any record of any skirmishes they got into ...
I will pick up the tabs on Tuesday, the 29th of Sept.
I anyone still wants them and I have not contacted you its because I don't have your e-mail address.
Steve,
My contact is ajamalfitano@aol.com please drop me a line with "Border Tap" in the subject line in case it goes to spam, when the new patch comes in. I need ordering and payment info. Out!
Sorry for not getting back to everyone sooner. Hit a rough patch, things are better now.
I only have four dress tabs left. I'll order a new batch tomorrow. Should take about a week.
I used to get shitfaced with SSG Bryson. He lived in the room across from me.
SSG williamson was afraid of me at first, eventually we became good friends. He took me to the airport when I PCS'ed .I think he just wanted to make sure I got on the plane.
Sgt. Burge was the most worthless NCO I ever met. I was on his track for about a month with Pfc. Engelhart until Tom and I took charge in what would be known as "The Great Capstone Mutiny".
Hi Steve, You must remember SFC Bryson,he was a piece of work,he used to smoke in his sleep.Half cherokee I think. How about SSG.Williamson, Sgt. Burge.I called Hunting about a month ago, never returned the call.

Toujours Pret Steve,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do).
And that you please tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
Thanks Again for joining Dragoon Base, and for your service to our great country,
