Wouldn't be surprised if you were still using the same TTY we had at Camp Gates in '63. My recollection is that we had only one voice line, known affectionally as "Hitler's Revenge" because it was so unreliable.

Served 14 years active duty; after the 2ACR, served tours in France; Ft. Sam Houston, TX; Vietnam; Presidio of San Francisco, CA; Seoul, Korea; and Ft. Campbell, KY. Then as a civilian, worked 24 years at the national laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN. Now, enjoying retired life in Roane County, TN.

Hello Bill. I was in I Troop for 63 & 64. I left there about the same time you depart. You must have know Capt. Voke who was Border Operation Officer and had been I Troops Commander before going to Squadron Headquarters. The Lt. Melton you mentioned, did he go to I Trp. The name is very familiar to me I think I knew him.
