I did some research and found that Forner was born in Anaheim California, which makes him YOUR homie. I also found your internet site where you two were first and second place in the schwanze sandwich eating contest in Furth in Wald in 1976. Due to a Frag rep larum bell there was no schwanze off...... Pity! All I know to do is head down to the Dubrovnich and get a couple of bottles of Peljasec and discuss the possible outcomes. Do you think you would have won?
If it had been a cheese eating contest I know you would blow everybody away!!!

Hey Jim ! That guy was wild as hell. Old Vietnam Vet. I sure wanted him on my patrols though. He was a Great soldier. I will never forget that night. Remember when somebody threw that Artillery simulator or something into the 2nd floor bathroom and blew up that toilet. Here comes a Health and Welfare inspection!!!!! Chittick was pissed!! Who was the CO then? Wild? Oh yeah! Exciting? Oh yeah! Tell Chuck I asked about him. He belongs here too.

Welcome aboard James. I try to limit my welcomes to Bindlach Troopers because there are so many members now but your experience as a 'cruit got my attention. It was wild back then. My first night in the barracks my three room mates were heating up something in a spoon and injecting themselves. I had never even smoked weed! I was scared out of my mind. I asked the CO for a transfer. Now I am glad he turned me down because in spite of of that kind of thing, the 2n Cav. was Head and shoulders above the big Division guys behind is.

Toujours Pret James,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do.), and that you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

the first day i entered the old k troop barracks there was a man shooting a loaded 45 into a mattress at the end of the hall his name was sgt goikie . i asked him what he was shooting at he said im practicing for cruits i said whats a cruit he said you are . i then thought i died and went to hell. but later it only made me stronger and some of the best times i had in my life were with my piezies. in k troop
