Welcome to Dragoon Base Benny.

If you look in the video section, there are a bunch of short videos taken by one of our members walking through Camp Gates as it is now. I was only there once, when I first arrived in the 2d Cav Jan 1974. Spent the rest of my tours at Camp Pitman.

Quite the difference between the two camps, one in the middle of town and the other in the boonies!

Welcome home Trooper.
The Dragoonbase.com, has
plenty of updated features
(similar to MySpace), lots of sub-groups,
(Officers Club,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,and the
always busy Oldtimers club).

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Stationed at camp Gates as a radar repair and Teletype operator. Went down to Brand and had the local various beverages. Barracked in the Teletype Room all my tour.

Tell us a little about you now.

Working for the Federal Gov't as a Legal Adm Specialist (Probates), been working for Gov't Since 2005.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

Private Frey, Specialist Halmbeck, Private Charlie, forgot the camp Sargents name, There were Six of use Permanent party there when i was there. Used to walk to marktredvit.
