Tell us a little about your cav days.
I arrived at a pivotal time and watched as the iron curtain fell, starting with refugees from East Germany fleeing to Czechoslovakia and then being put in trains to West Germany. Then in late 1990 we were sent to Sandi Arabia as part of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. We returned to a great reception in Amberg including a parade into the town square. I left the regiment in August of 1991 to accept a company command with the 66th MI Brigade in Augsburg.
Tell us a little about you now.
I left active duty in 1992 and went to grad school at the University of Arizona. Graduated with a MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering in 1994 and have worked in the water utility business ever since. I am currently the Executive Director of Scottsdale Water. After active duty I stayed active in the Reserves, serving with 8-40 Armor, the 1st MI Center, and the US Army Command and General Staff College. I retired as a LTC in 2005.

Brian it's Steve Wesnoski. How are you doing
Hey Sir,
Jon Moore here, just left a message on your voice mail. Happy 30th anniversary of Desert Storm. It was you that informed me that I was in my first war. Do you still have the shoulder boards that you took off of that EPW officer that those K Troopers and Engineers were guarding? I wonder if the other EPW officer that we took to regiment in the rain still eats Skittles? I'll bet you have haven't thought of our adventures in HQ 66 in a while. I think of them often now that I am fully retired. Take care.
Jon (aka Wolfpack 6T)
