I see you commanded 2-72 Armor. The 72nd has a special place in my heart. My dad was with the original 72nd Tank Battalion when it was formed out here at Ft. Lewis in 1948 from the 717th Tank Battalion. He was with them when the 2nd Infantry left here in July 1950 for Korea, the first division to arrive directly from the US when the war started. He was the original battalion motor sergeant.
The current RCSM for 2SCR, CSM Mark Morris, served in 1-72.
