Other mechanics were SP4 Roth, SP4 Lilienkamp, SP4 Mullins....a bunch of other guys. CO was CPT Miller---was the guy who made Major just before him, but can't remember his name. LTC was William Brinkley and the CSM was a crazy guy named Goss who saluted all the privates! What could you do lol! You saluted him back and said Good Morning Sergeant Major!

Say, that Sgt. Odom wouldn't be Mike Odom, HHT, 1/2ACR 1985-88, would it? He is a member here.

Never met him but I had numerous conversations with LTC Brinkley on Dragoon Base before his passing. He was a helluva trooper right up to the end. Didn't know he was a Vietnam Silver Star recipient until I read his obit.
I live just outside Ft. Lewis in Tacoma. Visited the regimental museum a few times while it was out there 2005-06 and donated hundreds of items to it.
Noticed you mentioned LTC Brinkley. He was a member of the old Dragoon Base and sadly passed on a few years ago.
Hey Dan Glad to see you made it Here. Thx for the write up in Together we served.
