      Toujours Pret Daniel,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names/with pictures, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

      Thanks Again for joining,
      Jesse Kelley

Tell us a little about your cav days.

I remember driving an M-60 because the driver's commo helmet would only screw up when the vehicle was in motion, I ran down one of the big plywood outline targets (by mistake) like it was nothing. Mostly we traveled in an M577 to the border for month or so long stays, "Alerts" resulted in "Road Trips' to the "railhead" where the tanks would be loaded on trains to take us most of the way to the border. Most of the tie on the border can be summed up with one word; cold. Standing outside for any length of time could result in the snot in your nose freezing, the water on your eyes. I still think the Black Forest is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and that Schnitzel should be the official sponser of almost everything.

Tell us a little about you now.

Now I live alone and listen to and play music. I retired from being a tech, first for Ohio Bell Tel. Then for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Don't ever let anybody tell you that working is better than not working, it's not.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

John Meadows Frank Vecchio Julius Paglia
