Happy birthday, my friend!!!
Eric I did go to his page and left him amessage that I had mentioned his name to you.. we'll see good luck...
Oops, guess I didn't leave his name.... it is Ivan Styblo.. I don't think he would care that I dropped his name to you, atleast I hope not... I should probally asked him first but anyway don't believe its a secret...
Eric, just athought, you are pursuing info on 2nd Cav,I think particulary cold war info and maybe this angle is not of interest to your research, anyway we have agentleman on the base who was on the other side of the Czeck border (69- 70) we have friended each other and have exchanged a few comments ,,, he evidently was on a listening post, monitered our radio tranmission ,, interesting conversations and such!! pretty decent guy.. he hasn't been on long.. anyway I thought I throw this at you... It seems to be part of our history...
Welcome aboard Eric.. thankyou for your service to our country.. I can feel your enthusiasm on the info you are looking for from this site... good luck and know its appreciated of what you do... "Toujours Pret" again welcome to the base..

You have no choice, Eric. Once you have been in the 2d Cav, you are infected for life.
Please read the following article I put together several years ago....

Hey Eric, how's it goin'? Come to pick some brains? Don't bother with the oldtimers group....brains gone long ago!
Good to see somebody from the active Regiment. Not very many of the next generation around here. Kick back and make yourself at home. First bier is on me....
