Yep Jim. I was in BCo 5/33 back then. Also was in LTRP 3/2 ACR. Bet our paths crossed in one of the two since you look very familiar to me.

Hey Jim,

I remember a lot of those names, I was the LT Brigham's driver on C16. A lot of good NCO's, I had good role models for I when I became one.

Glad here you made it. I retired in 97, Ops SGM 3rd Bde Ft Lewis. Started a business after I retired. Gave it up a few years back got tired of working too hard. Now I fix bathtubs.

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Remember reporting just before Thanksgiving 1982, inprocessed into the unit, went to Camp Gates, rolled out to a FTX if I recall called ‘CAPSTONE’, back to the Rock for a couple of weeks then back to Camp Gates. That was the first month. The guys I hung with, my crew, Andy Cooper, Carlos Valasquez, Jim Terry; Border Ops Gang, Dave Roe, Mike Elieff, Stanley Hayes, Mark Bess; Platoon buddies, Mike Thrasher, ‘Pat’ Patterson, Chris Rankin, Steve Waytko, Chuck Fuss, the list goes on.

Retired from the Army in 1998. I work at local newspaper/printing company
