What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?
June of 1972 through September of 1973.
Tell us a little about your cav days.
We got to experience the change from the draft army to the VOLAR army...got to see the good and bad parts of each. We were an easy, stationary target for left wing groups of the time that wanted to make a political statement against nuclear weapons, or the USA in general. This mainly consisted of bomb threats phoned to Site 33 and other forms of harassment, but the Baader Meinhoffs did hurt us at Stuttgart, so all threats were taken seriously. As with most guys, I mainly remember the good times and we had a lot of those.
Tell us a little about you now.
I own a manufacturer's rep. agency with my two brothers..the work we have always done. We bought the business from our father in 1995. We represent lines of electrical construction type products. My interests are mainly hunting, fishing, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. I am married and have two grown daughters and a grandaughter.

Toujours Pret Jimmy,Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
Make sure you stop by and read the latest Tacoma Dave ‘Triva Quiz’, learn some 2nd Cav history and you can even win a kool prize.
