      John,

If you want to stop getting e-mails, follow these steps:

      1. Sign in to Dragoon Base.

      2. Once signed in, no matter what page you are on you should see your name in bold letters near the upper right portion of the page. Under your name it should say "Sign Out" with a small menu below it, "Inbox", "Alerts", "Friends" and "Settings". Click on SETTINGS.

      3. Once the new window opens, there is a menu on the left of the page. Click on MAIL.

      4. On this page you can choose which notices to receive, or you can go all the way to the bottom and check the box to block all notices.

      5. Click SAVE and you are done.

      Hope this helps.

Jack, I don't know if you got my email, but I have been trying to sign you up here as a friend, but haven't been successful yet.  Anyway, I think the 5 Ton truck was an M54, 6X6.  We used it to haul ammo as I recall.  You can probably ask Les Evjen, he will probably know as he was the Support Platoon Leader for a while when we all arrived there in 1966.

And forgot to mention . . . Vic Sealy and I became pretty good friends.  I was on the border when he represented his unit at the Coburg castle (the 11th Hussars were Prince Albert's Own) at some sort of birthday celebration and commemoration.  And then Vic and I went to a New Years party at the Schloss dressed in full battle kit with loaded sidearms and were in very high demand among all the elegantly dressed young frauleins!  The tuxedoed young ment were dissappointed to say the least.  It was Vic who organized the exchange and later I went up to his unit along on a rather unofficial visit but sanctioned by the Sqdn.  Also ran into him again in the field on a REGORGER exercise. . .  good times indeed.
