11E20, 63Charlie. Drove Tanks M60A1 For about a year. then Drove M151A1 "JEEP"for Capt. Cooper .
What was your rank/title?
Pfc, E-4
What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?
April 1972-April 1974. On the Rock.
Tell us a little about your cav days.
Arrived at "The Rock" April 4th 1972. Company D Was on Border Patrol. Soon found out That comp.-D Very seldom pulled border duty. Thank god for that . M60A1's moto - "You can do more battle field damage in 1 minute than a Grunt Squad can do ALL DAY" Sorry but it is true. I remember the 3am wake calls to alert drills. Anybody remember The 72' Olympics and the 3 days in the field locked in the Tanks ? Damn Towel Heads. Hey How about the Big Concert in Frankfurt? I got Pics of that. spent X-mass on the Rock Dec. 72' Home on leave X-mas 73 , left the Rock April 74' Went to Fort Riley Ks. in 1/4 horse for a few mths. Til out date October 74' While 1/4 horse was in Germany on Reforger.
