What unit(s) did you serve in with the 2d Cavalry?
I was assigned to L Trp. 3rd Sqdn 2 ACR between 75-78
Where were you stationed?
Pond Barracks Amberg, FRG, plus any other place they wanted to send us, such as GrafenWH***
What MOS or job description did you have?
19D30 Scout
What was your rank/title?
SGT/E5 Scout Section Leader
What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?
1975 thru 1978
Tell us a little about your cav days.
The days were always busy, very little down time. We were ether at the border, getting ready to go to the border, gunnery, local maneuvers, yet they were my best days in the Army. out of the twenty years I served.
Tell us a little about you now.
I am retired, taking it easy, and doing as much fishing as I can.
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

I was in L troop 3 sec. from 1976 - 1979 Sgt Lyons was the first Shirt
Check out my pictures I posted you may remember some of the Troops, Cpl Virgo lives in Florida. SFC. I talk to him last fall he was in a Hospital in Florida. He didn't marry ZiZi from the EM Club He said you can't marry somebody that's already married Were you in 1st Sec. in L troop. I believe Sgt. Jackson & Cpl. Virgo were with the Scouts also Do you remember E-4 Patterson Randy he was in the Scouts in 3rd Herd. Til later Normand
Toujours Pret Neil,Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.

And our only wish, ‘Keep it clean’, use our Real names/with Pictures(pix from back in the day, work best for searching for Brothers, but any picture will do.), and that you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
