Tell us a little about your cav days.
Oh to be young, know it all and be indestructible. Joined at 17, turned 18 just before heading for Germany. M60A1, loader, driver. Also drove the 1st Sgt for a while, and the supply truck when I was a short timer. Got out of the barracks a lot, made some good German friends but lost touch with them over the years. Lot of time at Graf, Rotz and May. Couple of Reforgers.
Tell us a little about you now.
Doing ok. What doesn't kill you makes your stronger (or it is supposed to). Married to the same wonderful wife for 30 years. Two top notch grown kids. Good career, not rich but surviving.

Well said Nathan. I have not felt the camaraderie we had sense those days, living in such close quarters and a Sheridan is CLOSE quarters. Hard to describe the smell. Lot of time in the field. Yeah, we bitched and moaned but we got the job done and a damn fine job it was. The Bear stayed on his side of the fence, West Europe stayed free and the wall came down and the Cav says a big You're Welcome!
