Basic training 1964. Shipped to Fort Polk from California. Outbreak of meningitis at Fort Ord. Then to Fort Rucker Alabama for Aviation training

Fort Benning GA, with the 11th Air Assault, later changed to the 1st Cav.

Helicopter crew chief
