Merrill Barracks

Radioman, S4 driver.
What was your rank/title?
Spec 4
What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?
1975 through 1976
Tell us a little about your cav days.
Was assigned to S-4. Seemed we spent a lot of time in the field or preparing to go to the field. I drove the S-4 around, we had the same taste in literature and I was low maintenance.. At nights Merrill Barracks was a no man's land. It was a crazy place. That area between the Train station and "The Wall" we spent a fair amount of time in... Gangster Hotel was a fitting name.
Tell us a little about you now.
Graduated from the University of Utah and re-entered the military but this time as a Missile Launch Officer in the Air Force. After the Air Force lived in Montana for a number of years and owned a book store. Now back in the old home town of Lehi, Utah and semi retired.
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
Bob Beck, Randy Richards, Bill Caulfield (deceased), Columbo (nick name), Tom Danzig, and others that will come to me at 2:00 am when I want to sleep.
