Tell us a little about your cav days.
I remember some cold nights on guard duty.... and that one trip the squadron took towards the border in the midst of winter... I was atop the M 109 hatch with an army scarf wrapped around my face and looking ahead at Army vehicles as far as I could see.. it was invigorating...no change that... it was cold... but I was honored to be atop and a member of something big... That night was the coldest night of my life...
Tell us a little about you now.
I married a girl from Amberg (Christa Schmidt) and we live in Tennessee on the Va border and have two grown children and 2 grandchildren.. and after all these years I am studying German. I work in radio broadcasting for a country format radio station WXBQ and have been the midday personality for 32 years...
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
all of them..
