675.1 Single Rotor Observation Helicopter Mechanic 675.3 Single Rotor Medium Cargo Helicopter Mechanic Worked mostly as a clerk-typist, though.

28-Dec-1962 thru 7-Jun-1965
Tell us a little about your cav days.
Found out the relative values of military jobs, that helicopter mechanics were a dime a dozen, but a clerk-typist was worth his weight in gold. Worked a little on helicopters before working in the Maintenance office at Soldiers Field AAF. Worked on CH-34 ALT helicopter at Bindlach from Mar,'64 thru Aug, '64. My last 5 months were running the tool van.

Spent 37 years in Data Processing/IT. Retired in 2003.
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
Charles J Smith (Snuffy) is the one we've been looking for for a few years. Last seen in 1979 in Alabama.

Hi Rick, I saw your pictures of Soldiers Field. I was at the same place but after you left. ('66 - '67). I have some pictures also. They're on youtube. Look for "Nurnberg and Soldiers Field Army Airfield 1966". I hope to hear back from you.

Don't know how I missed you joining the Oldtimers. Sometimes people just fall through the cracks. I moved from Sicklerville in '04 to Mays landing. I think there is someone else from Berlin here. I hope you are feeling better. I saw your post....that's how I found you.

It is truly a small world. We were in Germany during the same years and I live just down the road in Mays Landing, moving here 7 years ago from Sicklerville.
