Hello Sam, thanks for the email. I knew a few guys in HQ one I remember was "SKI" he was in como too, I think his name was spelled "Zielinski"??? Aynway I knew as SKI and we had a few beers together he was was of the good guys.

The bar in Bindlach was called "JETTE'S" I was there many times going down the hill and back up. When you get the time send me your email address and we'll pass a few emails around.

Where were you stationed?

Bindlach, Germany

What MOS or job description did you have?

310 Wireman. I was the past wireman, repaired the field telephones and installed the Switchboard when we went to Graph for training. You may have seen me on a pole repairing a line from 1962 till 1964.

What was your rank/title?

SP4

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

1992 thru 1964

Tell us a little about your cav days.

I drove Hqtr 50 3/4 ton wire truck. I had a plywood box on the back covered in a tarp. I had trouble all the time with it starting in cold weather.

Tell us a little about you now.

I am now 67 retired from GTE of Florida. I was a Equipment Supv for 28 years. I worked with the Central office equip. Now just enjoying my 36 ft RV traveling and enjoying life. I sure enjoyed my days on the Rock now that I look back.
