Tell us a little about your cav days.
I felt the greatest pride as a former Dragoon when, while attending Inf. Officer Adv. Course at Benning in 1989, observing how squared away former 2nd ACR soldiers were and how they stood out from all others... you could spot them from a distance: while others were smoking 'n joking, these Troopers where the ones pulling maintenance and keeping their rides ready to roll. I felt 1/2 ACR was a great first assignment, but only after PCSing could I really see just how great of an experience it was.
Tell us a little about you now.
Retired O-6 spending too much time trolling vet web sites!
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
Greatest NCOs a new LT could ever have: My Plt Sgt Steve Warner, Rick Schroeder, Scott Francis, Brad Landis, and many others! CW3 Bernard was the Sqdn PBO who I learned much from too. Served under Tommy Chamberlin briefly, then Dowell K. Ryan, and shortly with thomas f. lynch iii. The Sqdn was led by LTC Bill Barry, MAJ Lynn Roth, and SGM Jeff Setzer... all very solid leaders.

Hi Steve - thanks for returning my inquiry referencing the M 24 tank, so happy to hear they were maintaining it.there's quite a history behind rebuilding and and numerous change of command beer festivals and other events. The last time I had the privilege to drive it was when Col. Wagner assume command in Nuernberg. The last time I heard were might be was at Fort Chaffee. Here's my e-mail address cwousa55@aol.com if you like to exchange pictures of the rock. Also if you go to Google Earth you'll see what it looks like now, you be able pick out Sq.Hq.- theater - maint facilities- Gov. quarters - the school - PX and a few others, the parade ground is in the process being turned into housing area. Plus they built a additional entrance road. I surely have great memories, looking forward to receiving your reply. Toujours Pret - Chief
