Welcome to the Base Steve. Col. Molino was my first C.O. too. Dave and I just missed each other. Lot of changes between 1975 and 1994. Be sure to check out the Groups. Charlie One Seven, OUT.
Welcome to Dragoonbase, I was in I Trp 75 to 78 and went to Infantry school at Ft Polk in Mar 75 to May 75 then was packed off to I Trp for 3 of the best years of my military career,
Did a lot of crosstraining because when I got there they said we don't have no Infantry in the Cav, but I was a bonus baby and I enlisted for the 2nd Cav so they couldn't change my MOS or ship me out for at least 3 years
Tom Molino was my C Troop commander in Bindlach, Germany,1974-75. He and his wife are on a cruise now down the South American coast to the Antarctic Circle.
I didn't even know the Regiment was out here at Ft. Lewis until several years after they had left. I've lived in Tacoma all my life. Please...no sympathy! My own fault.
Picture taken near Vilseck 2008 when Tom was still the 2d Cavalry Association President. He was just appointed the Honorary Colonel of the Regiment.
