Great photos Thomas. Most of my border tours were out of Pittman. Still looks the same for the most part. What is it's function now?
Your English is worlds better than my Deutsch.
I was over in Bindlach, 1974-75, on the old M-551 Sheridans.
Visited Germany last year and Bamberg was the only one of the old 2d Cavalry bases I didn't get to visit.
welcome to the Base Thomas. Great to have you. I may be wrong but I think you are the first Hauptgefreiter to join us. maybe you culd strt a new Group here for our old 'Comrades' in the Bundeweir. I will have to Google Mellrichstadt since I never heard of it. I had a few beers with some of the guys across the street from out border camp at Weiden. i was amazed that the all spoke English better than me. Once again, Welcone to the Cav.
