Served from September 1982 - April 1985 at Pond barracks, Amberg, Germany with 3/2 ACR. Served from April 1985 - 1986 at Merrill Barracks, Nurnberg, Germany with HHT 2nd ACR.
Tell us a little about you now.
Served from 1982 - 1986 on active duty. Served from 1986 - 1987 in the IRR. Served from 1987 to 1990 in the Idaho Army National Guard as a traditional Guardsman. Served from 1990-2005 as an AGR with the Idaho Army National Guard and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Was the APMS at Boise State University from 1995-1999 and the Professor of Military Science at Idaho State University from 1999-2001. Now work for a DOD Contractor as the Idaho Military Funeral Honors Coordinator.

I certainly remember you. You were a fine young officer and man. Those were turbulent times in the 2 ACR. I was there only a short time when my first Squadron Commander was relieved of duty. He was a good man and a West Point graduate. Serving in the two Cavalry regiments during the height of the Cold War was intense and required a special type of soldier and leader. I learned much during my time in the Squadron where I served as FSO, Battery Commander, S-1, and finally Squadron S-3. Serving as S-3 of a Cavalry Squadron as a Artillery officer was the most challenging and rewarding time of my career. I think of my time in 3D Squadron often. It defined my military career. It is great to hear from you.
