I did two tours in Amberg, same troop 59-61 and 62-64. I was very familiar with Vilseck and Grafenwohr, an the area along the border.

Were in Bavaria are you located? I spent some time down there, Sonthofen, Murnau, Bad Tolz and Oberammergau. I spent a lot of time in Garmish. Love it I had 5 tours over there. Welcome aboard.

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Most of it, when not down at the Irish Pub, was spent sitting in the 1KM Zone watching, listening, and jumping. The last days, as a Platoon Sergeant during the 1st Gulf War, were filled with chasing Lightning Troop through the desert. The ammo carrier used to support my jammer was not quite as speedy as the M1s and Bradleys. But they took pretty damn good care of my platoon.

Tell us a little about you now.

Team Manager for a Field Software Engineering team based in Bavaria, Germany. I am proudly, embedded with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment in Vilseck, Germany. I also serve as the President of the Bavarian Chapter of the Military Intelligence Corps Association (MICA).
