Sept 1983-July 1988

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Totally enjoyed being a ground support person for the aviation facet of the 2d ACR; many times we had tank table VIII at Graff, then on to Hoenfels for more gunnery; spending time in HOF and along the entire border to recover downed aircraft (we had a wrecker with a 5th wheel - and carried a flat bed trailer to lift and recover it). Very tight unit and a motor pool that really did things right.

Tell us a little about you now.

Retired after 27 years in 2007 - still loved being a Motor Sergeant, working with the best!! I currently work for the Dept of Veterans Affairs - I drive one of the Mobile Vet Centers in the State of Maine. I spend my days traveling the state and talking to Veterans trying to help out those with readjustment isues, and get those deserving veterans the assistance they need to deal with post combat issues. I absolutley love my job!!
