Tell us a little about your cav days.
I enjoyed my time at Pond Barracks. The German people were very friendly and quite cordial. The border duty that we pulled every 90 days was interesting as well as historical. I remember quite well watching the Czech border guards through binoculars and they in return looking at us. I, to thi day feel that we were performing a needed duty for our country. Nothing but fond memories.
Tell us a little about you now.
I am now a retired graphic artist and avid golfer. I am fortunate to be enjoying reasonably good health. I have two daughters, the oldest lived in Amberg for six months.
Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
I do wonder about some of my buddies from Amberg. Two in particular. Bobby Walters and Judd Cain. One was from Ohio and the other from California.
