Lee,
I just left Germany at the end of May. It. Would have made our trip more complete if we could have been able to link up and had a beer together. I have planned another trip for Oct 2015. Hopefully we can connect with each other before then and plan a beef together somewhere in Amberg or on the border.

Lee, there were three Crawford's in my dad's WW II recon troop, 99th Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop, 99th Infantry Division. With only 140 or so guys in the troop, that was quite a few Crawford's.
Monroe J., and Monty were in 3d platoon, Monty being platoon sergeant for awhile. I met Monroe's wife Jean in 2003 at a troop reunion, Monroe having passed away years earlier.
Sherwood Crawford was in 2d platoon.
The 99th Recon fought at the northern shoulder of the Battle of the Bulge, were at the crossing of the Ludendorff Bridge in Remagen, and a key part in closing the Rurh pocket.
Tried "clicking" on your facebook link and it won't go. Stupid computers!!

Its tough putting a face on you after 30 years. I'm pretty sure I know who you married & where you live. Luck dog!

Had the pleasure of visiting what is left of Pond Barracks last year and touring around Amberg for a few days. Had a great time.
