Welcome home Troop.
The Dragoonbase.com, has
plenty of updated features
(similar to MySpace), lots of sub-groups,
(Officers Club,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc),
and links for “2nd Cavalry Assn.”
News and History Centers.

Robb Russell has posted some tips for
navigating the site(ie,photos,links,ect)
in the Forum.

Please feel free to stop by and read the
latest “Tacoma Dave's ‘Triva Quiz’”,
you can learn some 2nd Cav history,
and you could even, win a kool prize.

What unit(s) did you serve in with the 2d Cavalry?

Howitzer Btry. Last billets SW of Parade Field. Straight across from Kaserne HQ and mess hall. Amberg........Pond barracks. 73-75. I lived just outside back walk gate by PX across street in civilian housing....

Where were you stationed?

3/2ACR Amberg.....Vilseck 9 months straight for Billet re-mod. Went to Graf......29 trips!

What MOS or job description did you have?

I was section chief of 109SP howitzer.....

What was your rank/title?

Buck. Corporal. Spec. Kept changing by my attitude.

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

73-75

Tell us a little about your cav days.

The wildest, craziest, growing up part of my life. That was free Love. Drugs and Booze. Hepatitis and Nam heros, dyin' in our arms. German girls loved us. Landlords loved Jack Daniels. And the Cops hated us. I was a race car driver, for the 'Titty Pink Team', in Vilsec. Charlie Brown and his Targa porsche, was the catholic priest. Joe bynum, was the chaplains assisttant. Bourroughs was the protestant Chaplain. One nut Jim gorzyunski, was our EX-O. Captain Chamberlain was my btry commander. Charles Schluder, was our chief of Firing battery. Eddie veyers was chief cook in the mess hall. Brad Molluck worked in S-1. Guard Duty. General Orders and Polished Jump Boots. I didn't do much guard duty...... BUT I WANT A PATCH!!!!!!!! ALWAYS READY SIR!!!!!!!!!!

I'm married 30 years. Drive a truck. Been and did it all. Also biker TRASH. Six Children. All successful.....but one. he's a lifer, doin' hard time. 13 grandchildren......

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

I found most of my buddies stateside. Some are dead. Some in Prison. A bunch are doing well...... Someone help me locate Patches for 3/2 ACR and POND BARRACKS patch.
