Tell us a little about your cav days.
I was initially assigned to Iron Troop "As hard as it gets". After 9/11 L Troop received the WARNO for a six month deployment to Kuwait, but was not up to MTOE strength. I volunteered and was transferred to Lightning. Deployed with them to Kuwait and eventually the invasion of Iraq. Came back and was PCS'd to Ft. Campbell KY to what would eventually be the 4th BCT and 1-61 CAV. Did two more combat tours with them (Iraq & Afghanistan). PCS'd again to good Ol' Ft. Knox and 3/16 CAV. Stayed there until the Armor School moved to Ft. Benning and stood the school house up there.

I retired from the Army in 2015, moved back to North Carolina.
