Tell us a little about your cav days.
After our unit at Fort Lewis, Washington, reflagged from the 25th Infantry Division to the 2d Cavalry Regiment, I moved with the regiment to Vilseck, Germany. During my time with 2d Cav, I deployed to Iraq for 15 months, was stop-lossed, and later transitioned to the New York Army National Guard.
Tell us a little about you now.
I’m currently in law enforcement, serving as a Training Major. I’m still teaching hand-to-hand skills, although these days we call it defensive tactics instead of MACP, or Modern Army Combatives.
