Hi I was in Germany at The Rock from October of 1977 until October of 1978, the winter of 1977, while doing field training at Grafwhor there was a incident that happened and I'm looking for someone that remembers the incident and it looks like you may have been there around that time, do you recall what happened and the names of the members that were involved, if so I sure could use some help with more information. So if you could get back to me that would be great and thanks for any help you can give me.

How did you manage to miss 14th ACR? One of the squadrons is still out here at Ft. Lewis.
You'll be happy to know that the 2d Cav is home based back in Germany, just down the road from Amberg in Vilseck, but currently deployed to Afghanistan for the 2d time.
Hey Clifford, welcome, I was in Mco from 78 until 80 Mike Trahan sent me to the E-5 board twice, before I left Amberg, made it the second time. He sure believed in me, and was a good man and leader. I have seen his profile on a web site called linked in I have not tried to contact him, but looks like he has done well for himself after he left the Army. Toujours Pret..
Trahan's name I've heard numerous times around here, but he is not on the members list.
LTC Scott Marcy is a member here, living in Alaska. http://dragoonbase.com/profile/ScottMarcy?xg_source=profiles_member...
Col. Wagner is in assisted care, but still kickin'.
Make yourself at home, and if you run into any trouble, give me a holler.
Welcome to Dragoon Base, Clifford.
So, you helped lock the door on the Rock? The end of the longest era in the 2d Dragoons 176 year history. I visited "Bindlacher Berg" as it is now called in 2008 and 2011. Still a few of the original buildings left, but I think all the old barracks have been replaced.
I spent some time in Amberg 2011 also. Not much of Pond Barracks at all. M/K Trp Barracks, mess hall, and the big stone eagle is pretty much it.
