I remember Merrell Barracks and the city of Nuremburg. Colonel Wagner was the CO of 2nd ACR and he was a character. Feucht Army Airfield - Alerts in the snow. Reforgers , Graffenwohr, german beer, volksfest at the deuzen deichs and many more. I had some great friends who I have never seen since.

Electrical Engineer, Small Business owner and grandfather of 3. Married my wife who is German in 1981 in Germany. She has been living in the US ever since. I have been back several times and the US facilities are all now gone.
