Hello David, Sorry I won't be attending the reunion in San Antonio, my wife just had major surgery and will be down thru September at least. I sure would have loved to have made it. I'll try to get some of the photos.

Hello David.. I was in the Constabulary from 49 - 52. Started in Sonthofen was redesignated 517th FA, in Sonthofen and moved to Wetzlar in 49.

We are having our National Reunion for the Constabulary in San Antonio in September.

Which constabulary unit were you with?

Glad to see someone has finally drawn you out and gotten you commenting again.

My dad, then CWO2 Henry Gettman, was Motors Officer with Hq & Hq Co, 1st Battalion, in Bindlach from 1953-55.

Constabulary; Border Patrol Coburg/Kronach; Field operations and training Grafenwoehr; 1st Operation Gyroscope Bamberg to Ft. Meade(August 1955)

After 2d Cav, various assignments, including Univ. of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Lab for MS and PhD degrees. Assigned Medical R&D CMD. Retired in grade LTC at Presidio of San Francisco, July 1, 1971. Since 1973 in the Memphis area, including nine years as SCUBA instructor at The Dive Shop.
