Do you remember a OP shack, that sit on top of a hill, I think out of Coburg camp???
I retired from the Sheriff's Department after 28 years, most of it working the field. But I'm still working for them as a 120 day rehire, working as a Bailiff in a courthouse not too far from where I live.
In March we're starting a whole bunch of murder trials, one of which is of a Oceanside Police Officer.
I'm still part of a Federal Disaster Medical Assistance Team and get deployed a couple of times a year during hurricane season. Our team was one of four teams at the New Orleans Louis Armstrong Airport the day after Hurrican Katrina hit. What a nightmare! Didn't sleep for days. Some team members never recovered from what they saw.
I'm busier now that I'm retired than when I was working full time. But it's better than waking up at room temperature.
So how have you been? What takes up your day? How's you family?
I'm disapointed that Barrington and Somers haven't gotten back to Kelley. But, there are people that would just as soon forget about our band of brothers and the havoc they caused.
The years I spent in the Cav were the most fromative years of my life and I've lived several lifetimes.
Don't be a stranger, I'll do better at answering emails sent my way.
Bill
Hate to bug ya.
Just one more group to go, the F Trp here on the Base, is the main F Trp (group), my site F TRP 2-2 BPB(f-trip.ning.com) is kind of obsolete, it is not connected to the Base. You can use both if you want, it is just what ever you post at my site, does not make it here to the group at the Base.
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names/with pictures, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
Thanks Again for joining,
Jesse Kelley
