Tell us a little about your cav days.
Not much to tell, I worked the inspection bay out of squadron maint. shop. Any vehicle leaving post had to pass inspection before it could get a trip ticket. We'd run it over the pit, give it a good once over, update the log books, you know generate red tape. Les Rudarmel, Tommy Jones, Ron Kent, Joe Wheeler, Ron Endsley,Paul Gascamp were some of the guys from squadron maint. who I looked upto and learned a lot from . They were good buds too.
Tell us a little about you now.
I went back to the steel mill when I got out .Did a 4 1/2 year apprenticeship and became a Crane repair Millwright. spent 32 years climbing around in the rigging and rafters. After Armco Steel sold the place to GST Steel they went bankrupt, shut down a place that had been putting out steel since 1886.Been married a few times but finally settled down. Recently bought a larger home so we could move my 94 year old WWll vet father-in-law and 79 year old Korean war vet uncle in with us. The place is starting to look like an old souldiers home. All 3 of us are Army. I'm retired now through no wish of my own. had an accident that damaged my right hand and arm. Got an old Shovelhead that keeps me sane.A few hour puttin' around is the best therapy in the world.

Hey Donnie, Alexandra here again. I just wanted to give you a quick update on what we found so far on Ronald Endsley. Sadly, we are about 95% sure that Ron passed away in 2009, also we can almost surley confirm that he got divorced from Monika but may have remarried to a lady named Betty (nee Sanders). So, all we can do now is ry to reconnect with Ron's Wife Monika (which seems to have vanished without a trace since we simply can't find the slightest clue of her) or try to find a son named Ilja or Elijah.
Phew... we are not giving up just yet, just wanted to let you know that I visited Eva today and she was very excited about the Terrier Growl - that one made me laugh, and hard! :-)
Well, so far so good, we'll stay on it!
Have a great time!
Alexandra and Eva
Hello Donald, I really hope you are still active on this page. I am writing for a friend of mine. You mentioned Les Rudarmel, who died several years ago. Eva, his widow, is the friend I opened this account for since she has no computer.
We are trying since about 4 years to locate the whereabouts of Ron and Monika Endsley but keep coming up with nothing. She lost contact with them about thorty years ago and we keep running into dead ends, no matter what or where we try.
A couple of days ago we stumbled on to this webpage and I registered so I could contact you. Eva was almost in tears when I read to her all the names you mentioned on your page and so we decided to contact you.
She has your phone number, so she might try to contact you some time later.
Long story short, we both are glad to have found someone who may remember some more details :-)
Hope you have a great day!
Eva Rudarmel and Alexandra
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONALD
