Hi Eddie , sorry for the long absence. My son Eldon has enlisted in the US Army as a 35 November . I talked to him and he thought he would actuallly like intell work as he is very technical . Four sterling years in Jr. ROTC he will make a good troop I'm sure . He leaves 5 Oct for Ft Leonard Wood where I went , bless his little heart and then goes to AFB Goodfellow. . I am very proud of him as you may imagine . Maybe someday he will serve under you which would be wonderful - a super kid !

I agree Eddie. Hope your Christmas was good also. We became Grandparents on the 15th of Dec. Our first born daughter Charly had a baby girl, Sheridan, at 7.13 lbs and 20 inches long. Now its time to spoil that one and send her home. If my memory serves right I do believe you are supposed to deploy. If so, keep your head down and Godspeed my friend and thanx for serving a deserving if somewhat ungrateful nation. It pains me to no end to see what these damn liberals are doing to this great cause and along with these left wing college professors who know all, but couldnt save themselves from a rainstorm. Pass it on to your troops there are still some patriots left who believe we owe our men and women in the military a great debt that can not be repaid, other than to say Thank-You, and forever have our most heartfelt respect and adoration. Happy New Year and again Godspeed my friend..............Mick

i always considered the same to you we had some good times then. i was impressed about your carreer, good for you i would have stayed but it was made impossible by a choice i made and it was the right choice as its going on 27 years and three grown kids and a grandchild on the way.i think you know what i mean. were both in law enforcement now she works for the sheriff dept and i work for the state police. i sent a friend request so we can mssg each other.drop me a line again. dude i have 5 1911s and quite a few others but i still like my kimbers and springfields the best . thanx for your continued service to a grateful nation (even at times when it seems they dont care anyone who lays their head down at night and can fall asleep peacefully should thank our soldiers and veterans). i left my cell with that number on your wall another colonel answered it and said he would relay the mssg

You and I were in Amberg for a short overlap of time, I can't place the name or the face. I was 76Y also, started in S-4 with CW3 Hendrich, SSG Scott and SGT Durand, S-4 was CPT Rogers, then CPT Looker. I remember SGT Silva, he was pretty cool! I finished my time at Amberg in the HHT Arms room, till Nov 86'. I still keep in contact with a few guys from Amberg, that being my only real duty station. I have a couple of pics posted of Pond Barracks now, it is a real shocker what they did to it!! Cleaned up really nice after the iron curtain fell.

Tell us a little about your cav days.

Started out in HHC in the S4 shop; was moved to M CO where I worked for SGT Guadalupe Silva. I have been looking for him since I commissioned as a 2LT and spent a few days with him in 1989.

Tell us a little about you now.

Still in the fight, went back to college and got a degree and a commission. Now a Lieutenant Colonel, spent most of my career in Infantry and Military Intelligence branches. Plan to stay around as long as I am having fun or until I get shot out of the saddle.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.

SSG John Michmeshuizen, Guadalupe Silva, Hector Rivera, Ricky Russell, Smitty, Tim Allshouse, Gary Dean, Dan McDonald, Tony Adams, Carl Sloan, Bill Mounds.........many more.
