Ed,
I clearly remember you from your photo. I loved working with the survey crew. Urbanski, Kyker, and the rest. Great group to go to the fields with. The old sub-post looks a lot better than I remember it. Thanks for writing and sharing!
Best Regards,
Chuck
Hi Ed,
That was our directions from the 61st Col. of the Regiment to bring the inspections standards as close as possible to a real war scenario; did not make to many friends. Your former Sqdn. S-2 (Dubois Porchia) and your former Sqdn. Border Officer Mark Marshall are both close neighbors here in Virginia. My former boss Peter Janker is also here in Virginia as so many others. Like Dave Gettman mentioned COL (Ret) Tony Brinkley passed away several years ago at a Veterans Home in Alabama...great commander!! I will be attending GOD permitting the next 2nd Cavarlry Reunion in Pennsylvania hope to see you there. God Bless!!
Toujours Pret Edward

Saw you mentioned LTC Brinkley. Never met him personally but had numerous conversations with him on the old Dragoon Base website before he passed away.
Welcome to the site, and I'm glad you were able to contact an old comrade so soon.
Always Ready!
