Tell us a little about your cav days.
I was a trooper that that had a primary mos of 71M and secondary mos of 13E. Went from Reserves to Active duty and had to serve in the 1st How Bat as a 13E, Unit Prevention Leader and NBC sergeant. In the leadup to the Iraq invasion I trained the battery on suspected chemical caches and suiting up in the chemical suits. Went to Iraq in 2003 and served in FOB War Eagle, Baghdad and later at Al Kut. During our 15 months of deployment I became the commander's driver. Received friendly fire of white phosporous rounds when the commander and 1SG went out to a site at Al Kut to watch the artillery fire. After the deployment I decided to help stand up a new brigade for the 10th Mountain Division rather than go with the squadron to Ft. Lewis and eventually to Germany.
