Remember me? You kept me straight on the border and Hastings back in Amberg. Did I really hit you up on your Birthday? Have a great one boss! You and Hastings set me on a course that went 24 years. Many thanks brother!

Sgt.Z, Ran into Max Tritt at my grandkids soccer game in June and he turned me on to this site. Found your name as well as quite a few others that I served with in M Co from 82-84. I actually was originally assigned to HHT for probably nine months and got transferred to M Co. Worked in maintenance with secondaries in PLL, Recovery, and Turret maintenance on the M60's. Drove the old beast M49 for a while and then was TC on it for a short time until I decided to ETS. Spent the last six months as Capt. Burcham's driver during the M1 transition. I have a picture of you, Sgt. McGuire, and PFC McClain standing behind an M1 with a thrown track. Will get a bunch of photos on the site sometime in the near future. Just need to get them onto a disc so I can post them. Got a reply from a message I sent to Phil Benson and he says there is a facebook page for M Co. Don't do facebook but I do have an email address. (ramartin1957@yahoo.com). I only make it onto this site probably once a week as I don't have internet access at home and have to go to public wifi so email is more accessible on my Iphone. Look forward to hearing from you. Rick (Sgt. Marty) Martin.

Z-man,
I wanted to add something. When I scoped out your profile, I saw that you're teaching high school. I have a 16-year-old daughter in high school now, and will tell you that you couldn't have picked a nobler profession. This country needs happening people who've seen the world as up-front role models and educators.
The second thing is your most excellent photo. It's like a moment frozen in time. And in that photo your heritage shines like a beacon. My daughter's boyfriend's name is Manny Guerrero and he looks like he could be a brother or cousin of yours. My kid did a double-take when she saw the Z-man patriotic portrait.
And by the way, Jim Ronan (our old adjutant) just joined our 3/2 social media world. I'm about to go over to his profile and bust his chops.

Z-man!
I just got the email that you'd joined! This is a pretty cool medium, not perfect, but I'm amazed at the people who show up -- I wanted to give you huge props for being the pro that you were back in the day. I think about those crazy times off and on and wonder how we all made it!
Your old Captain,
