Tell us a little about your cav days.

Most of my time was driver - I-32, arrived in country as an E2 - climbed fast - E5 in two years, just passed the E6 board before rotated to states to First Cav. Ft Hood. Ended my Cav days in 78 switching to 52C, utilities specialist. That’s HVAC & Turbine engine power packs. Out in 82.

Drooped out of high school to join in early 74 - was going to do 2 as a diesel mechanic. - they trucked me into 11e with money & travel !! I just turned 18. Looking back - best move of my life !!! Switched to HVAC and did 4 more years ending my time on the DMZ of Korea. Settled in a o a life in Hotlanta, Ga. Retired 8 years ago, second career was coach bus driver - loved it - retired this past June 2026 to go full time lazy old man with two grandchildren. 1yr & 3 yr old.
