Tell us a little about your cav days.
Today was another busy day. We started early with morning PT, pushing through the cold air as the sun came up over the motor pool. After breakfast, we prepped the vehicles for a training mission checking gear, comms, and making sure everything was squared away. Out in the field, the drills were tough but rewarding. The team worked together smoothly.

I’m Guilherme Silva, a 12 Bravo (Combat Engineer) serving with the U.S. Army in Germany. Life out here is a mix of hard work, early mornings, and good laughs with the crew. Whether we’re out training, running routes, or just keeping everything squared away, there’s never a dull moment. Germany’s been a wild experience different culture, cold weather, but solid memories. Being a 12B means always being ready to build, blow things up, or fix what needs fixing pretty much whatever the mission calls for. It’s tough work, but it’s the kind of life that keeps you sharp and proud of what you do.
