Hope you are well. We didn't serve together in 1/2 ACR (I was in HOW BTRY), but we served together in the Pentagon in DAMO FM. I hope you have a great 2023.

Welcome to B Troop I was with B Troop 5 Years after you left I was the Supply Sgt and Unit Armorer all the time that I was with B Troop . I was at the Rock from 1970 to 1972 . I was E-4 ASGT and E-5 SGT at the time.Now I'm retired and enjoying the retirement. I've been retired since 1992.

Just read your msg.
Harry Altman was the name of the guy that was killed, our medic was tossed out the rear window, severaly injured, didn't die and Robertson the driver severly injured, but lived to tell about it. He now lives in or near Golden, CO. I was in my own car alone and turned off when they turned on to the off limits road. We also had another from B Trp killed there, a black SSG, seems like he replaced SFC Frisco as mtr sgt, a super nice guy.Some of us were luckyer than others I guess!! Tell 66 hello for me.

SSG Wesley Durham AKA 66, was a good soldier and a friend of mine!Did you ever hear of the car wreck that killed his driver, sp/5 Rbertson was driving a Karmin Ghia on Nov 4, the off limits highway?
We were all together that nite, thank god I had my own car.

Toujours Pret George,
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,ect) in the Forum.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or myself, or just yell out another member may be able to help.
And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, use our real names/with pictures, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.

Great fun if you love working you butt off. Al Taylor, the Motor Sgt, pappy Grider the Training NCO, SGT Harris the Armorer, SSG Durham the Toon Sgt., Griesbach the class clown. So many. We had a great time. Worked hard and palyed hard.

Tell us a little about you now.

Retired 5 years ago out of the Pentagon. Live in Florida. It was 24 last night, so didn't move south enough:-) Have two daughters and a German son from playing around there. Three grandkids.

Name a few buddies you served with that you would like to find.
