Welcome to the DragoonBase, the new
Base here at Ning.com, has plenty of
updated features(similar to MySpace),
lots of sub-groups,
(Officers Club,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc),
and links for “2nd Cavalry Assn.”
News and History Centers.

Robb Russell has posted some tips for
navigating the site(ie,photos,links,ect)
in the Forum.

What unit(s) did you serve in with the 2d Cavalry?

Headquarter Headquarters Troop 1st (Division or Battalion) ?

Where were you stationed?

Bindlach, Germany (Known as "The Rock") We also had "D" Battery from our base, located in Bayreuth. This was a much larger town nearby, where my wife and I lived.

What MOS or job description did you have?

I was Administration by MOS, but I was the Squadron Mail Clerk my 2 years there.

What was your rank/title?

Sp 4

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?

I was there from 1973- 1975

Tell us a little about your cav days.

I enjoyed being the mail room guy. Everybody left me alone to take good care of their mail (this was a big deal before e-mail). I worked with David Higgins and Curtis T. Blackwell over my 2 years. Buddies: James A. Cain, Richard Lucero, Henry Drake, Mario Rodriquez, and Joseph Hammer.

Tell us a little about you now.

I am a middle school teacher and coach. I have been married since 1971 (married at 17). I Love Jesus Christ. I listen to hard rock music. I have three kids and 8 grand kids.
