Tell us a little about your cav days.

I arrived in Germany in March 1988 just before the last major REFORGER exercise and was assigned to the Attack Platoon Leader, Nomad Troop, 4th Squadron. I flew the HOF sector until boarder ops ceased. From Platoon leader, I moved to HHT XO and served there for a year +\-. When my current commander rotated and his replacement dropped out of consideration, I was asked to lead the Troop. That position, intended to be approx three months, turned into nearly one year, to include deployment to Iraq and redeployment following Desert Shield/Storm.

Tell us a little about you now.

After retiring with 28 years in the Army, much of that as a Russian Foreign Area Officer, I spent two years as a contractor for JIDO, then transitioned to civil service. I worked at DTRA for five years, then transitioned again to contractor life and currently live in Texas.
