Hey Larry nice to hear from you! Yes we just missed each other by a few weeks I think. I had several jobs in Personnel including Officers Records, Births, Deaths, Passports, License Plates and Separate Rations. I met a German girl by the name of Louise Foster a few weeks after I arrived in ‘65. She was a beauty and worked at Woolworth's a few minutes from the Bahnhof. I got an overseas discharge in ‘67 and we were going to get married but I didn’t speak German so couldn’t find a job. After about 6 months I came back to the states and was going to bring her here but because of her sick mother and father that wasn't going to work for them. I was 20 at the time and she was my first real love. I’m currently married to that pretty lady in the picture. She's from Nicaragua.

I remember Kerley, Nidowitz, Paladini and McCarthy. I used to hang out with Vito Dragone, Ken Turner and Sheridan Miller. Vito lives in Pennsylvania and Turner Ohio but sad to say Sheridan passed in 2017. He lived in the Georgia, Kentucky area. I didn’t know Kerley very well because I left just after he got there. Turner loved the place and went back about 20 times I think. When I wasn’t with my girlfriend I’d hang out at the Lindi Bar. I also tried contacting Baczynski for many years and finally got a # in Florida after I retired. Unfortunately, he passed a few months before I called but I did talk to his son. Sad part too was he lived in Florida and I traveled there a lot with my work so I could have visited him. He saved my bacon a number of times! I still have a list of 26 names during my time in Personnel. I have many, many, found memories and stories of my time there!
