Hello Larry, and welcome to the base, I see from your postings that you are retired from the CHP, I was wondering if you may have known or served with a Leroy " Cass " Cassinelli he was my uncle and was in southern California serving with the CHP about your time period he eventually worked his way back up north to the South lake Tahoe CHP where he served until he was killed in a off duty car crash at Twin bridges on HWY 50 in the fall of 1976. Thank  you for your service in both the Army and the CHP.                Shannon Ryan M co. 3/2 ACR 1978 to 1980

Larry, I don't think so although it is possible. There was also a Craig Fertig who coached USC way back. I'm a transplant from the east coast where my family originated, my grandfather on my dads side came through Ellis Island. There is a book called " They Fought Alone" about a man "Wendell Fertig' who was a Civil Engineer on the isle of Batan who with a handfull of men refused to surrender to the Japaneese and who fought with the gurilles against the Japaneese. Also not related. Toujours Pret Brother !

Larry, I was the medic there. My knowledge of the missiles was limited to which direction they should be facing.
