Happy birthday Sig, enjoy your day to the fullest.
Thank you Sigmund, you're a gentleman. My birthday wishes were completed early this month when I was reunited with my best friend Paul Robinson who I was stationed with in Amberg. Paul's son, Robert, contacted me via facebook about two weeks ago and I called Paul that Saturday. We laughed and cried remembering old and good times. Paul was with me when we sailed my jeep down a stream near a training area (Hof?). Thanks again for remembering me.
Thanks! I can't wait to share some memories with you guys!
Well spent Veterans Day in the VA after my 1st and only Infarction, so I have to admit that i am now an Old Timer. (P.S. Memphis VA WAS ABOUT AS GOOD A PLACE TO SPEND veterans Day AS i HAVE EVER SPENT ONE)
Sorry, Sig. Not it.
Happy B-Day. I hope ypu have a good one.
Thanks Sigmund for checking in, Must say I am new to all this but admire the men who put it all together, As I wade myself through the technical aspects of this website, I know problems will arise. When I do come to a stand still, may I call upon you and your expertise to get me on track? I remember the Rose handling the winter storm in our Atlantic crossing quite well but must say it was an experience. Our XO was Capt. Cohen, Sgtmajor Johnson, Sgt Privette (Ham operator & a wealth of knowledge for us neophytes). I was sent up to Coburg in March of '58 and never returned to Bamberg until July of '59 -Getting ready for discharge. Being a history buff and music lover, Coburg satisfied my whims. Thanks again for checking me out. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and after having worked in New York for 12 years, returned to theChicago land area, livinging in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Talk to you down the road. Herb 630-325-5166
